NHL All-Star Skill Competitions
The annual All-Star event kicked off today with the skill competitions. Team North America and Team World competed in six different races and the fans got to see their stars shine.
Team World won the puck control relay with a team of Thomas Vanek, Martin Erat and Marian Gaborik.
Thomas Vanek of Team World won the fastest skater competition, beating Jason Spezza in the final.
Peter Forsberg of Team World won the hardest shot competition with a result of 87 MPH, beating Jarome Iginla in the final.
Patrick Marleau of Team North America won the accuracy shooting competition, beating Peter Forsberg in the final.
Ryan Miller of Team North America won the goalie competition (pass&score), beating Kari Lehtonen in the final.
Team North America won the breakaway relay with a team of Jason Spezza, Joe Thornton and Patrick Marleau.
The yearly clash between Team North America and Team World will take place tomorrow.
